Privacy notice for table reservations
How we use your data when you request a table at Jazz Café Roma.

Purpose and legal basis
We use your information only to receive and manage your reservation request, contact you if needed, send confirmation, rejection or cancellation messages and organise table service. The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b), taking steps at your request before a contract and providing the booking service. We do not use booking data for newsletters, advertising or profiling.
Data collected
Name, telephone number, email address, requested date and time, party size, meal type, seating preference, optional sports event and any notes you provide. The system also records booking status and operational messages. Please do not include health information or other sensitive personal data in the notes; contact us directly for specific needs.
Required information
Fields marked as required are necessary to handle your request. Preferences and notes are optional. Your request becomes a confirmed reservation only after the restaurant confirms it.
Who can access data
Only authorised restaurant personnel and technical providers necessary for website/database hosting and email delivery, for booking purposes. We do not sell booking data or disclose it to advertisers. Any processing by providers outside the EEA must comply with applicable GDPR safeguards.
Retention period
Ordinary booking records are intended to be deleted within 90 days of the reservation date, unless necessary to address documented complaints, disputes or legal obligations. Operational emails and backups may have separate technical retention cycles, which the controller must keep no longer than necessary.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection where applicable and data portability where applicable. Contact the data controller at the email address below. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Automated decisions
The system registers requests, but restaurant staff decide whether to confirm or refuse them. No automated decision-making with legal effects is used.
